Feelings of Connectivity
Symbols exert powerful influence on our psyches, and should not be neglected in our study of communication. Symbols like the Irish harp or the Lebanese cedar reflect a human need for harmony and beauty. Other observations of natural design that support our holistic notions bolster our feelings of connectivity.
As we continue to propose such things as the law of generosity, we would do well to learn to incorporate harmony and beauty in all our communication, symbolic or otherwise.
